Chronic Shoulder Pain

Causes of chronic shoulder pain include Tendonitis/bursitis, shoulder injury, rotator cuff tear, shoulder instability and Arthritis. Diagnosing and finding the right treatment is sometimes difficult. Examining patient medical history, x-rays and other tests may result in a recommendation for minimally invasive surgery by one of our board-certified orthopedic surgeons. However, other treatments for chronic shoulder pain include rest, physical therapy, pain medications and anti-inflammatory medications.

Shoulder surgery to replacement an arthritic or injured shoulder is less common than knee or hip replacement. When necessary, however, shoulder partial or full replacement typically provides the same benefits.

Benefits:
  • Relieve chronic shoulder pain and restore more normal joint movement
  • Designed for long-term stability
  • Enhance movement and mobility

What is the difference between acute and chronic pain?

  • Acute pain begins suddenly and is usually sharp in quality. It serves as a warning and might be mild and last just a moment, or it might be severe and last for weeks or months.
  • Chronic pain persists despite the fact that the injury has healed. Pain persists for weeks, months, or years. Physical effects include tense muscles, limited mobility, a lack of energy, and changes in appetite. Emotional effects include depression, anger, anxiety, and fear of re-injury.

Get help with your pain today by registering for a physician referral and to attend one of our FREE Seminars.
